1. About Hazora

Hazora is a disaster monitoring and alerting service designed to help users stay informed about natural hazard incidents around the world. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hazora mobile application, website, and associated backend services provided by Hazora. By accessing or using Hazora, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of the Service

You may use Hazora only for lawful, personal, non-commercial informational purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable local and international laws. You agree not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to impair the regular operation of the service.

3. Disaster Information & Critical Disclaimer

Critical Emergency Disclaimer

Informational Awareness Only: Hazora is an informational awareness and monitoring tool. It is NOT a replacement for official local government sirens, emergency broadcast systems, law enforcement instructions, civil defense warnings, or mandatory evacuation orders.

  • External Sources & Normalization: Hazora aggregates and standardizes incident feeds from established scientific, geological, and governmental bodies. While Hazora aims to deliver prompt, structured, and reliable updates, we do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or uninterrupted availability of any third-party data.
  • Always Prioritize Official Guidance: In any critical, life-threatening situation or natural hazard emergency, you must always prioritize instructions and mandatory orders from local emergency management authorities and first responders.

4. Notifications & Alerts

Hazora delivers push notifications on a best-effort basis. Timely receipt of alerts depends on numerous factors beyond Hazora's control, including device power-management settings, network connectivity, operating system background execution limits, and third-party push notification services (such as Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service). Alerts may be delayed, degraded, or not delivered.

5. Hazora Family

The Hazora Family feature allows users to save designated geographic locations for family members or loved ones to monitor relevant hazards nearby. Hazora Family operates strictly on user-supplied reference coordinates and does NOT continuously track any family member's physical GPS location.

6. Accounts & Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the application or backend services
  • Systematically scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk download data, incident feeds, or map tiles
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the operation, security, or networks of Hazora
  • Transmit fraudulent alerts, malicious code, or abusive support submissions
  • Circumvent rate limiting, authentication, or access controls

8. Third-Party Services & Maps

Hazora utilizes third-party services, including map tile providers (such as OpenStreetMap contributors) and cloud infrastructure. Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms and usage policies.

9. Availability & "As Is" Disclaimer

Hazora is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely free of harmful components.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of Hazora after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
